Center for Behavioral Institutional Design

A full-scale redesign of C-BID’s digital presence, from user experience to development.
UX design • UI design • Front-end code

I led the research, design, and development of a new website for the Center for Behavioral Institutional Design (C-BID), a behavioral research agency at NYU Abu Dhabi. I crafted a seamless experience that effectively showcases C-BID’s research, events, and collaborations. From wireframes to final code, I ensured the site not only meets accessibility and usability standards but also reflects C-BID’s mission to advance behavioral science in institutional design

Information architecture

Information architecture

To create a seamless user experience, I developed a structured information architecture that organises C-BID’s research, publications, and collaborations. This sitemap reflects the refined navigation system, ensuring intuitive access to content for researchers, policymakers, and students.

Wireframes & UX structure

Wireframes were created to define content hierarchy and user interactions before moving into visual design. These grayscale prototypes helped validate navigation flows and ensure clarity in presenting C-BID’s research focus areas.

Initial concepts

Initial concepts

In the early design phase, I explored multiple visual directions for C-BID’s website, experimenting with typography, imagery, and layout. These concepts aimed to balance academic credibility with an engaging, modern aesthetic while maintaining usability and accessibility.

Refined design iteration

Refined design iteration

Building on feedback , I refined the visual and interaction design to enhance clarity and engagement. This phase involved optimising typography, color palettes, and interactive elements to align with C-BID’s brand and mission.

Final design & implementation

Final design & implementation

The final design brings C-BID’s research to life through a polished, user-friendly interface. Every detail, from micro-interactions to content presentation, was carefully crafted to support C-BID’s mission in behavioral research. I built the website using React for a dynamic and modular structure, ensuring maintainability and performance. SCSS was used for scalable and organised styling, allowing for a flexible yet consistent design system. The site is fully responsive and optimised for accessibility and usability across devices.
